Travel Vaccination Service.

Start preparing for your trip at least six weeks before you go.

At the Surgery we provide a private clinic for travel vaccinations. These appointments can only be taken in person, so please visit the Surgery in order to book.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse. Please remember to book your appointment with the nurse. You will NOT be contacted prior to your appointment as your health needs will be discussed when you arrive.

Please ensure you list all countries (and areas within those countries) that you will be visiting as this is required to ensure you receive the correct and up to date advice.

Travel questionnaire

Please be aware that all patients included in the travelling party will require an individual consultation. There is an extra charge per each necessary vaccine, which will be discussed at the initial Travel Advice appointment. Some vaccines are ordered on a private prescription as they are not included in the services provided by the NHS, and these vaccines will incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.

A majority of the requested vaccines have to be pre-ordered in advance, which is why we ask you to prepare at least six weeks before you go. This gives us time to order the required vaccines, organise a 2nd appointment with you to receive the vaccines, and then some extra time for the vaccine to work. Your second appointment to receive the vaccine needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel.

Please note, we can only administer vaccines that are advised by our nursing team. This will all be discussed in your appointment, as the team will need to discuss your travel arrangements including which countries and areas within those countries that you plan on travelling to.
